With a proud and rich history, the Seneca were the largest of six Native American nations comprising the Iroquois Confederacy or Six Nations, a democratic government that predates the U.S. Constitution.

Learn about the judiciary branch of the Seneca Nation and its three divisions: The Peacemaker, Appellate, and the Surrogate courts.

The Hon. Sylvia L. Patterson, who was recently named to the Appellate Court, is a Peacemaker Court Judge who will share how her court operates.

In this CLE, Judge Patterson will be joined by Michele Mitchell, Esq. who is the Seneca Nation General Counsel who represents the Nation Council, Executives and departments on matters related to the state and federal laws that impact Nation government, businesses, and gaming operations and on Nation government initiatives.
