This CLE focuses on the preparation and process of jury selection, including ethical considerations and ethical issues that arise during voir dire. Although this seminar addresses criminal aspects of jury selection, the concepts and theories discussed will also benefit civil practitioners.
Nick DeMartino began his career in 1986 by serving as a Deputy County Attorney with the Onondaga County Department of Law prosecuting child abuse and neglect cases. He then joined the Onondaga County District Attorney’s Office, rising to the rank of Chief Assistant District Attorney. He was assigned to the Homicide Bureau where he prosecuted homicides for eleven years and was made Chief of the Economic Crime Bureau.
Mr. DeMartino has spent the last seven years at the New York State Attorney General’s Office as an Assistant AG in the Criminal Prosecutions Bureau, investigating and prosecuting white collar and financial crimes such as mortgage fraud, embezzlement, and tax fraud.
Nick joined the criminal defense law firm of Green & Brenneck in May of 2015, specializing in all aspects of criminal defense.
